As a pharmacist and naturopathic physician I have
formulated a number of products for many companies over the past 30
years. However the recent challenge of developing a total body cleansing
system has the most rewarding experience of my career. I was given a
great deal of freedom to create this concept, was not to be governed by
the price of the component parts and was told to use the best possible
ingredients to deliver efficacious formulations. That being said let's
discuss detoxification.
GENERAL VS. PINPOINT DETOXIFICATION
For those of you who have never experienced a general
detoxification, it is usually not a pleasant experience. Trying to
detoxify the body as a whole is about as much fun as laying down on a
bed of nails. Cleansing is a rough proces. Specific organ detoxing is a
much less aggresive and logical approach. Most important of all, I have
found that patients will not comply very well with total detoxification
programs. It has been my experience that you can have the best possible
product, but if the patient compliance is zero, it is not going to do
him or her any good at all. It must be a program that the patient can
complete, thus setting him/her up for success.
PINPOINT DETOXIFICATION
Pinpoint detoxification, where do you start? You start at the
colon. Cleansing the colon should always be the first step, followed by
liver cleansing and then the kidney. Afther kidney cleansing, it depends
on the patient and the specific problems that are presented. For
instance, for a 31-year-old single mother of four with a full-time job,
whose main complaint was fatigue, the next step would be an adrenal
cleanse. However, a 64-year-old male that had benign prostatic
hypertrophy (BPH), who was waking up four to six times a night to
urinate, afther the kidney I would suggest a prostate cleanse. And let's
say he had heart and vascular problems. What would he do? Afther the
colon, liver and kidney cleanse, he would do a heart and blood cleanse
with prostate cleanse being the last.
Now let's say you have a patient who presents with simple joint
problems and does not want to do a total body cleanse ( or has just done
one ). Yes, he can do just a joint cleanse. Remember, it is always
advantageous to do the step-by-step total body cleanse in the specific
order previously mentioned, however, there are always exceptions to this
process on an individual basis.
One of the most asked questions is how does the liver cleanse
product know to go to the liver? How does the kidney cleanse go to the
kidney? The answer is to look at the formulations. Herbal medicines,
like all medicines, are processed trough specific organs. For instance,
milk thistle is processed trough the liver while dandelion is processed
trough the kidneys. Therefore, these herbs will go to the areas through
which they will be processed. With the delivery system incorporated into
these formulas, the bioavailability will de greatly enhanced.
WHAT YOU
SHOULD REMEMBER:
This is a new and inovative method of using natural delivery system
to span the bilayer of the cell and allows greater
bioavailability, thus greatly enhancing the process of
detoxification. Pinpoint detoxification is a more natural and less
aggressive way to detoxify the body. These formulations and
ingredients provide a tailor-made cleansing program for each
individual depending on his/her needs.
